What We Do
ONE Life Community Assist is a modern, dynamic not-for-profit organisation that conducts life changing programs currently in the City of Salisbury, Parafield Gardens and in various locations across the greater Adelaide area in the future.The innovative organisation began as The Community Welfare Ltd in 2010 in Parafield Gardens in response to the issues facing members of the local community and to care for the many disadvantaged and marginalised.
How We Do It
Our aim is to provide a multifaceted range of unique and compassionate services that offer hope and opportunity to those facing personal challenges and hardship. Our services include a weekly free food market, community coffee shop, counselling/life coaching and individualised assistance with practical basic life essentials on a case by case scenario.
Why We Do It
We believe that every person has been born with incredible potential and is unique. However, our paths can take some unexpected turns, and despite our best efforts we may find that we need help through a crisis. Sometimes we need to try a different approach to lifes challenges and, in particular, to find a way through them. Empowering people today means providing crisis care and individualised support, re-skilling, acquiring new life skills and assistance in finding employment.Our goal is to restore hope and dignity to people of all ages and from all walks of life who may be trapped in repressive habits or who may have experienced trauma or some other form of hardship or difficulty. At One Life community assist people are treated with honour and respect.
